One hundred percent full disclosure: When I had my first kiss at 14 (SHHHH) the guy said I had super dry lips. That is the day I died.
I learned two things: That guy SUCKED and I should probably look into lip care. Ever since then, I’ve been on a mission to have the softest lips this side of the Mississippi. Not to toot my own horn, but that was one of the first compliments from my now husband THANK YOU VERY MUCH ZACH FROM MIDDLE SCHOOL.
Here are the products that I absolutely swear by (and they are all cruelty free!) What are some of your favorites?!
I love all things Josie Maran! This is no different. Its a 4 out of 10 on the burn but I’m a bit of a weirdo and like that. I always choose Vanilla everything but the two pinks are also gorg. It’s a great matte balm under a lipstick, too!
I have always been a Tarte fanatic (I’m obsessed with their eye masks as you have seen in previous posts) and this is a life saver. I just can’t with the little pots of scrub. I love that this is in a tube and melts into an amazing balm for the day. I don’t scrub every day, I use it like I do my exfoliating scrub, once or twice a week!
I got this as my Birthday Gift from Sephora and instantly went out and bought the full size. I wear this every night before bed (which is great for my lips but so gross if our dog is cuddling us) and wake up with such happy lips! I have always gotten the clear since I wear it to bed and less stains on my silk pillowcase!
I am obsessed with all things Drunk Elephant: their name, their packaging, their support of elephants, everything. I feel so fetch pulling this out. I also love the size. If I’m putting on a balm, I want it all up in there.
Kopari is another one of my favorite brands. Coconuts, why didn’t we think of that?! It’s petroleum-free and absorbs quickly but not in the way you need to reapply constantly. I love the Sheer Pink-Pinkini!
So, to beauty buffs, this might not seem like a regular lipstick…which is good! I suck at applying lipstick. Always have, probably always will… This was another part of the Sephora birthday gift and I am OBSESSED. I love the matte crème and the Glace (Dusty Mauve) is so perfect for every day. I just find this crayon to be soooo easy to apply and will never go back to regular lipstick. (Unless it’s professionally applied…)
This primer is so creamy! If I know I’m going to be at an event or a long meeting where I won’t be able to reapply my Lip Crayon, I will swipe on some of this primer and it helps the color stay so much longer! It also helps with any of those fine lines I have after a weekend of maaaaaaybe too many mimosas…
What do you think? Is 2019 all about the Lips?!
